Exercising During Pregnancy

Pregnancy Work Out Tips & Benefits

If you are active now, becoming pregnant does not mean you need to stop your fitness routine. If you have not been active, now is a good time to start exercising for the recommended 2 hours and 30 minutes a week.

South Florida Women’s Care provides pregnancy exercise tips at our women’s health clinic in Miami, FL. We are conveniently located near Baptist Hospital of Miami and are a short drive from The University of Miami. Call us at (305) 661-7766 or schedule your appointment online today!

Pregnancy Workouts

The best activities for pregnant women tend to be low-impact activities, like walking, swimming, and cycling. Women can usually continue doing higher intensity sports, with your OBGYNs approval, if you did so before becoming pregnant. As long as you start exercising slowly and cool down slowly, take frequent breaks, and don’t overexert yourself, exercising will help you have a healthy pregnancy.

Contact your OBGYN at South Florida Women’s Care to learn more about the best diets and exercise habits throughout your pregnancy.
